Hosted by the Department of Medical Sciences, it was attended by RPHL Network Contact Persons from Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Viet Nam, Singapore, Thailand as well as key development partners include representatives from FAO, IDDS, USAID RDMA, TUC, and GHSA Chair Office. The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) was also participated in this Video Conference.
Led by Singapore, the Meeting deliberated on key technical issues on SARS-CoV-1 variants. It was noted that apart from regular video conference, members can also course any press issues through the RPHL Network Secretariat to initiate an email discussion.
The Meeting was also further discussed on Roster Development of Lab Expert to be shared on the RPHL Network Website. The roster aims for timely resources mobilization among network, partners, and others networks. It was initially suggested that the lab expertise should not be confine in any particular field but rather be flexible and open to any fields. The next Video Conference will be held on the 3rd Week of June 2021, to be announced, of which Brunei Darussalam will take lead in technical discussion.
