Thailand by Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand hosted the first video conference of RPHL Network on 28 February 2022. It was open by Dr. Supakit Sirilak, Director General, Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand

The Conference was attended virtually by RPHLNetwork members from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The event was also attended by lab experts of the RPHL Network and representatives of key networks such as MBDS & Thailand Country Coordinator, SEAOHUN, GHSA Action Package Coordination Task Force, Global Fund, IQLS, Thailand GHSA Coordinating Unit & Thai GHSA Advisors, JICA, and FETN. Key development partners including WHO SEARO, FAO and TUC and the new member of GHSA Detect 1, Pakistan were also in attendance.

Noting key recommendations transpiring during an Annual Partnership Forum of RPHL Network held last December 2021, the meeting deliberated on network’s sustainability; specifically, Building trust, Visibility/Communication/ Coordination, Governance/Structure, and Resource Mobilization. Highlights of this meeting included enhancing networking and discussion on key activities for 2022.

The next virtual meeting of the network will be held in this April 2022, to be confirmed/announced.
