Leading by Dr. BALLANG UPAPONG, Deputy Director General of Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand & RPHL Network Secretariat Team visited the RPHL Malaysia to:

• Explore collaborative opportunities with local research institutions and public health laboratories,
• Foster knowledge exchange in the field of public health laboratory,
• Discuss on training opportunities, Twining program on Biorisk Management,
• Elaborate on recruitment of Lab Experts and Subject Matters of Expert,
• Share lesson learns from National Laboratory Strategic Plan (NLSP) development.

The site visits included Botanik Laboratory in Klang, Malaysia Genome and Vaccine Institute in Kajang, National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Sungai Buloh, Ministry of Health in Putra Jaya and National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Shah Alam.
