Thailand by Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand hosted the Face-to-Face Meeting: Enhancing RPHL Network Partnership on 18 – 19 October 2022. It was opened by Dr. Supakit Sirilak, Director General, Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand.
The Meeting was attended by RPHL Network Secretariat, RPHL Network contact person from Malaysia and Thailand as well as key development partners including, FIND, CHAI, Global fund, SEARO, USAID, WOAH, and the U.S. CDC. The delegation also visited the Biosafety Laboratory Level 3 laboratory and the Training center of Excellence in Medical Sciences (TEMs). This meeting aims to brainstorm for preparation of the RPHL N Strategic Workplan in 2022-2025 based on key recommendations on the network’s sustainability; Building trust, Visibility/Communication/ Coordination, Governance/Structure, and Resource Mobilization.
The draft Strategic Workplan will be further consulted with the network.
Under GHSA Detect 1 [Laboratory Systems], the RPHL Network has been established since 2019 Which is presently composed
of 11 member countries, including 10 countries in ASEAN and Nepal.
