In responding to countries’ demand, the RPHL Network and its partners deem necessity to replicate this online training for lab staff. This initiative is joint efforts of the RPHL Network led by the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand in collaboration with BTRP and USAID through IDDS Project.
23 June 2020, the 1st Session of the 2nd Cohort was launched and presided over by Dr. Opart Karnkawinpong, Director General of the Department of Medical Sciences, his speech can be found at–
It was attended by almost 100 of participants include 58 of lab experts representing both public health and animal health laboratories from Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Viet Nam and Thailand.
Observers from key development partners including USAID, US CDC, TUC, IDDS Countries [Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines & Thailand], RPHL Network [Singapore, Malaysia] and GHSA Co-Unit, Thailand also participated in this online training.
The Webinar series will have four online sessions and one intersession. The next session will be on 25, 30 June 2020 and 2 July 2020, 8-9 30 am, Bangkok Time.
